Active and Vital Ingredients
Camu camu

Camu camu

The cherry-sized orange-red camu camu berries are among the fruits with the highest ascorbic acid content worldwide. Camu camu shrubs grow along rivers and lake shores in the Amazon rainforest, and their fruits have only been researched for a few decades. What is clear so far is that, in addition to iron, valuable protein, and fiber, they provide important amino acids and flavonoids such as anthocyanins, flavonols, and flavanols, ellagic acid, and rutin. The active ingredients of the shrub, which is called “Caçari” or “Araçá de água” in Brazil, are what prompted NOBUSAN to use camu camu in its products: They have been proven to neutralize free radicals, strengthen the immune system, stimulate circulation, and have anti-inflammatory effects. In Brazil, camu camu is also recommended for stress- and overload-related illnesses as well as depression, mood swings, and restlessness; US research supports these areas of application. Camu camu is also said to support blood and liver detoxification and the formation of white blood cells, help fight breast or prostate cancer, clear the mind, help against depression, headaches, and migraines, and slow down the aging process. Brazilian researchers have also confirmed the traditional use of camu camu fruit as a natural aphrodisiac for men.

Acerola

Acerola

It's incredibly sour—and incredibly healthy! The acerola cherry began its campaign as a vitamin C miracle a few years ago and is now an integral part of many nutritional supplements. And for good reason! With up to 25% optimally bioavailable vitamin C, the acerola cherry is the uncrowned queen of health-promoting fruits. The fact that it contains not only huge amounts of vitamin C but also vitamins A, B1, B3, B6, iron, phosphorus, calcium, and even fluoride makes it all the more valuable in NOBUSAN products.

Pine Bark Extract

Pine Bark Extract

Pine bark is one of the most remarkable sources of the valuable antioxidant OPC, which NOBUSAN Nutrition uses in several products. OPC performs valuable functions in terms of health, protecting cells and strengthening the immune system in general. Pine bark extract can therefore be described as an “anti-aging power substance” and, on top of that, as an ideal supplement to vitamin C because it increases its effect up to tenfold!

Resveratrol

Resveratrol

Resveratrol belongs to the group of polyphenols—secondary plant compounds that have proven to be nature's true fountain of youth. This substance, which NOBUSAN also uses in its anti-aging products, has been known since the 1960s. Resveratrol was first isolated from Japanese knotweed (Polygonum cuspidatum), but it is also found in mulberries, raspberries, grapes, and pomegranates. According to research, resveratrol has a positive effect on heart function, which is another factor that counteracts the unpleasant side effects of aging. This is why people in southern countries value a glass of wine as a guarantee of a long life. However, to obtain the required amount of resveratrol, you would have to drink a whole bottle every day. As this would undoubtedly be less beneficial to your health, taking it in capsule form is the ideal supplement to a balanced diet. In vitro studies have also found that the substance has a positive effect on arteriosclerosis and arthritis, and its beneficial influence on Alzheimer's disease is also being investigated.

Vitamin B1

Vitamin B1

Vitamin B1 (thiamine) is responsible for countless processes in the body related to carbohydrate, fat, and protein metabolism, regeneration of the nervous system, and growth. It is also known as the “anti-beriberi factor” because insufficient intake can cause beriberi, a deficiency disease typical in developing countries. This explains which foods contain high levels of this vitamin—namely, the outer layers of grains and rice. Since the diet in the so-called “Third World” consists mainly of polished rice, people there are almost completely deficient in vitamin B1 and suffer from severe nerve, heart, and muscle damage. In Western countries, hardly anyone will develop beriberi, but mild deficiency symptoms are well known – especially in cases of alcohol abuse, liver disorders, hyperthyroidism, diabetes, and treatment with cytostatics (cancer drugs). The requirement is also increased during pregnancy and breastfeeding, in endurance athletes, and in cases of extreme weight loss due to dieting or illness. Since vitamin B1 is so important and overdose is virtually impossible, it is a fixed component of many NOBUSAN preparations.

Vitamin B1 is found in whole grains and rice, pork, fish, nuts, yeast, and legumes. Preparing food with garlic significantly increases the absorption of vitamin B1 in the intestine!

Symptoms of vitamin B1 deficiency include concentration problems, heart problems and cramps even with minimal exertion, irritability to the point of depression, and unexplained weight loss.

Vitamin B2 (Riboflavin)

Vitamin B2 (Riboflavin)

Anyone who frequently suffers from cracked corners of the mouth, migraine attacks, brittle fingernails, flaky skin around the eyes and nose, or inflamed tongue mucosa should consider the possibility that they may be consuming too little vitamin B2 (riboflavin). It is a component of many enzymes that regulate energy production and protein metabolism and is important for tissue growth. Although it is found in small amounts in many foods, a diet with very few animal products can cause a vitamin B2 deficiency. During pregnancy and breastfeeding, during convalescence after surgery (with tissue regeneration), and in cases of chronic alcohol abuse, the need for vitamin B2 increases significantly and should ideally be supplemented with good supplements such as those from >NOBUSAN. People undergoing treatment for depression should pay particular attention to this vitamin: their medication increases their vitamin B2 requirements, while at the same time a balanced vitamin B2 level in the blood can reduce the necessary dosage of medication!

Vitamin B2 is found in all dairy products, eggs, yeast, wheat germ, sea fish, meat, and (whole grain) cereals.

Symptoms of vitamin B2 deficiency include flaky skin around the eyes and mouth, cracked corners of the mouth (rhagades), changes in the mucous membranes of the nose and tongue, dull and brittle fingernails, and in severe cases, anemia, growth disorders, and degeneration of nerve tissue.

Vitamin B5 ( Panthotenic Acid)

Vitamin B5 ( Panthotenic Acid)

Vitamin B5 is better known as pantothenic acid. As a building block of coenzyme Q10, it plays a central role in energy metabolism, influences hormone production, and is a true beauty vitamin for skin and hair (premature graying sometimes indicates a deficiency). A vitamin B5 deficiency can result from a very unbalanced diet, especially one consisting purely of plant-based foods, and can be easily remedied by expanding your diet. Whole grain products, egg yolks, meat, fish, yeast, legumes, and some NOBUSAN products are rich in pantothenic acid. Symptoms of vitamin B5 deficiency include unexplained headaches and joint pain, rapid fatigue, and inflammatory mucosal diseases.

Vitamin B6 (Pyridoxin)

Vitamin B6 (Pyridoxin)

Vitamin B6 (pyridoxine) is extremely important for blood formation, the nervous system, immune defense, and the utilization of amino acids. It also provides valuable assistance in the prevention of arteriosclerosis and nourishes the skin. In high doses, it is also used to treat carpal tunnel syndrome (numbness in the fingers and toes) and premenstrual syndrome (PMS) in women. The need for vitamin B6 increases during pregnancy and breastfeeding, in diabetics, and when taking the “pill” or medications for tuberculosis or epilepsy. People who eat an extremely protein-rich diet (e.g., competitive athletes or those on a low-carb diet) also need to be careful, as in this case the vitamin B6 intake must also be adjusted. If these “risk factors” are not present, a diet rich in vitamin B is actually sufficient to meet your needs. Because an increased intake of the vitamin is almost always beneficial and an overdose through diet or over-the-counter supplements is hardly possible, it is included in good multi-nutrient formulas such as those from NOBUSAN alongside other B vitamins.

Vitamin B6 is found in whole grains, potatoes, soy, carrots, bananas, cauliflower, wheat germ, nuts, yeast, meat, and fish.

Symptoms of vitamin B6 deficiency include skin changes around the eyes, nose, and mouth (chapped corners of the mouth!), certain forms of anemia, nervous disorders, and insomnia.

Vitamin B12

Vitamin B12

Vitamin B12 is probably the most underrated vitamin of our time. It has a major impact on our nervous system, metabolism, detoxification, and blood formation. In addition to vegetarians and vegans, diabetics, pregnant women, breastfeeding women, women taking birth control pills, and chemotherapy patients also have a significantly increased need for vitamin B12. To ensure that our customers receive a comprehensive supply, many NOBUSAN products contain this essential vitamin in various dosages.

Vitamin B12 is found in dairy products, eggs, meat, fish, liver, and brewer's yeast.

Symptoms of vitamin B12 deficiency include nerve disorders such as coldness or tingling in the fingers and feet, sores on the oral mucosa, balance disorders, anemia, smell and taste disorders, concentration disorders, exhaustion, and low mental resilience.

Siberian Ginseng

Siberian Ginseng

Siberian ginseng, also known as taiga root or eleutherococcus, is a true energy elixir known for its stress-regulating properties and well-known anti-inflammatory effects.

Biotin

Biotin

Biotin is probably the best-known “beauty vitamin” and is also known as vitamin H or B7. If it is lacking in the diet, the deficiency usually manifests itself initially in hair loss, brittle nails, and skin diseases (dermatitis) because important functions in the conversion of carbohydrates and fatty acids are slowed down. It also supplies blood cells and the nervous system. Research has shown that frequent consumption of raw eggs can cause biotin deficiency, even though egg yolks contain large amounts of the substance. This paradoxical fact is due to another ingredient in raw eggs (avidin), which blocks biotin absorption. When supplemented with products such as NOBUSAN, the results are quickly apparent in the form of improved hair growth, stronger nails, and smoother skin. Biotin is found in soy, liver, legumes, spinach, mushrooms, whole grains, yeast, and nuts.

Symptoms of biotin deficiency include brittle fingernails, hair loss, skin problems, nervousness, and fatigue, and even depression.

Vitamin C

Vitamin C

While most other mammals can produce vitamin C from glucose themselves, humans are dependent on an external supply. However, since the antioxidant cell-protecting vitamin C (ascorbic acid) is mainly found in fruit and vegetables, it is easy to become deficient in it during a hectic working day. Often, there is simply not enough time to cook a vegetable dish every day and always have fresh fruit in stock – not to mention the fact that many of us are simply not used to vitamin-rich foods and are more likely to reach for a quick pasta dish or snacks than apples, peppers, etc. Vitamin C performs essential tasks in the body, such as immune defense and detoxification, the formation of bones, connective tissue, and dentin (the “hard” part of the tooth under the enamel), and the utilization of other vital substances in the body, such as iron and carnitine. Smoking, stress, and chronic illnesses increase the need for vitamin C many times over.

Vitamin C is found in fruits and fruit preparations that are particularly rich in vitamin C (especially sea buckthorn, acerola, berries and citrus fruits, local apples, elderberries) as well as fresh vegetables (especially peppers, Brussels sprouts, sauerkraut). Anything that is not served raw should be prepared gently, e.g., steamed briefly with a little water. The produce should come from organic farming if possible, should not have been stored for long periods, and should not have traveled long distances. This ensures that their vitamin content is at its highest. If, for whatever reason, it is difficult to maintain a diet with a high proportion of fresh foods, be sure to supplement any vitamin C deficiency with appropriate dietary supplements, e.g., from NOBUSAN.

Symptoms of vitamin C deficiency include frequent infections, bleeding gums and loose teeth, fatigue, poor wound healing, and a tendency toward mood swings and even depression. *The scientific name for vitamin C – “ascorbic acid” – actually derives from the notorious sailors' disease scurvy, which was caused by vitamin C deficiency on long voyages and manifested itself in hair and tooth loss.

Calcium

Calcium

Calcium is not only the main building block for bones and teeth, but also plays an important role in blood clotting, muscle and nerve function, and the prevention of allergic reactions. Its bone-strengthening effect—particularly important for those with an increased tendency toward osteoporosis—is most effective in combination with vitamin D3, which the body can only produce itself through exposure to sunlight. When you consider that an adult body can “store” up to 1.4 kilograms (!) of calcium, the importance of this mineral becomes clear.

IMPORTANT: If you have a family history of osteoporosis, do not eat dairy products, suffer from any allergies, or, for example, mosquito bites always swell up extremely and itch for a long time, you should permanently increase your calcium intake significantly – up to 1200 mg per day. Such high doses cannot be achieved through diet alone. In these cases, use supplements such as those from NOBUSAN. Since water-soluble calcium is excreted via body fluids (urine, sweat, feces), side effects from long-term maximum doses (>1500 mg/day) are only to be expected if fluid intake is consistently insufficient. They can manifest themselves in urinary stones and hypercalcemia (excessive calcium levels) in the blood and organs. Therefore, drink at least 2, preferably 3 liters daily and have your calcium levels checked regularly by your doctor if you are taking additional supplements.

Calcium is found in all dairy products, green vegetables, oatmeal, nuts, and some mineral waters. (Black tea and phosphates in sausage products, processed cheese, soft drinks, etc. have been found to inhibit calcium absorption; however, as these foods have no significant nutritional value and many disadvantages, it should not be too difficult to avoid consuming them regularly. The situation is different with large quantities of recommended foods such as whole grains, legumes, spinach, or rhubarb. These also reduce calcium absorption somewhat, but should not be eliminated from the diet. Just don't overdo it.

Symptoms of calcium deficiency include a tendency to break bones, dental problems (enamel erosion, periodontitis), and excessive allergic reactions. The most serious long-term consequence of calcium deficiency is definitely osteoporosis (decrease in bone density/bone softening) in old age.

We have developed RESISTEEN for a maximally uncomplicated vital substance boost: a comfort spray with many valuable ingredients from nature. RESISTEEN was specially developed for convenient use in between - ideal for all people who cannot swallow capsules easily. Another plus: the high-quality immune cocktail has a particularly bioactive effect via the oral mucosa and quickly enters the bloodstream.

With the vital supplement RESISTEEN you optimise every single cell to defend yourself optimally against pathogens! The "immune team" includes e.g.

  • Vitamin C from exotic fruits: RESISTEEN brings together the power of three of the world's most vitamin C-rich fruits - acerola cherry, camu camu and maqui berry. Compared to synthetic vitamin C, natural fruit extracts have the advantage that the vitamins are bound to secondary plant substances such as flavonoids, which enhance the effect many times over and complement it in a meaningful way.
  • Vitamin B12: Vitamin B12 has a special position among the B vitamins because it is only available in extremely few foods but is essential for almost all bodily processes (especially the immune system and psyche). Especially older people, but also most other population groups, are now deficient in B12; vegetarians and vegans are particularly affected. RESISTEEN supplies an adequate daily dose of the vital substance in the particularly well bioavailable forms cyanocobalamin and methylcobalamin.
  • Other B vitamins: Vitamins of the B group are indispensable for the processing of nerve stimuli and for maintaining healthy skin and mucous membranes. RESISTEEN contains a balanced complex of vitamins B1 (thiamine), B2 (riboflavin), B3 (niacin), B5 (pantothenic acid), B6 (pyridoxine) and B7 (biotin).
  • Siberian ginseng: It is a true elixir of energy and helps to cope better with stressful situations, for example. It also has anti-inflammatory properties.
  • Resveratrol: Red wine is said to be good for the blood vessels - because it contains resveratrol. But for a sufficient supply you would have to drink a whole litre of red wine every day! You can easily reach the same amount with a RESISTEEN daily dose.
  • Pine bark extract: The extract from pine bark contains a lot of OPC, which is an extra-strong antioxidant that is essential for cell and vascular health. OPC is particularly valuable in the defence against cell-damaging free radicals.

Consistent every day spray 5 puffs of RESISTEEN directly into the mouth three times a day. Do not swallow immediately but keep a little in the mouth so that the active ingredients can be absorbed well through the oral mucosa. Shake well before each use! One spray bottle lasts for exactly one month if used as directed.

RESISTEEN Immune Spray is an ideal supplement to the daily diet. Valuable phytosubstances, sodium and a balanced vitamin profile can compensate for nutritional deficiencies, optimise vitality and the immune system, and strengthen the basic functions of the body.
