Valuable medicinal mushrooms as a blessing for health and vitality into old age. Activating for the immune system and stimulating for self-healing powers.

Active and Vital Ingredients
Amalaki extract

Amalaki extract

In Ayurvedic medicine, the gooseberry-like amalaki or amla fruit (Emblica officinalis) is one of the nine foods that should be consumed daily. The vital substances contained in the fruit strengthen the entire organism, especially the gastrointestinal tract and the immune system. In addition to large amounts of vitamin C, the amalaki fruit contains many other antioxidant vitamins, minerals, and trace elements, as well as valuable bioflavonoids and amino acids. The effect of the “amalaki” vitamin C is greatly enhanced by the tannin it also contains.

Ginseng

Ginseng

The success story of ginseng root (Panax ginseng) began over 2000 years ago in Asia. When European scientists noticed that many Asians lived to an impressive age and remained remarkably fit even in old age, they investigated their lifestyle habits and, in addition to dietary differences, discovered ginseng, which is mainly consumed there as tea and powder. In China, ginseng is called “Jen Shen,” which means “human root” and comes from the root's human-like shape (with a little imagination). Numerous ingredients are responsible for the effects of ginseng, including peptidoglycans, polyacetylenes, and essential oils. In laboratory tests, however, it is primarily the highly concentrated ginsenosides that have stood out, which have immune-boosting, anti-infectious, circulation-stimulating, and blood sugar-lowering effects. Overall, ginseng can be described as a general tonic (= fortifying agent), which is why it is used in several NOBUSAN preparations.

Reishi Mushroom

Reishi Mushroom

The reishi mushroom (Ganoderma lucidum) is a little powerhouse thanks to its numerous vitamins and minerals. It strengthens the immune system as well as the liver and metabolism. Its ingredients include calcium, iron, magnesium, zinc, copper, manganese, carbohydrates, proteins, and fats, as well as polysaccharides and triterpenes. These are responsible for its blood pressure and cholesterol-lowering effects. The mushroom, known in German as Glänzender Lackporling, is also native to local deciduous and floodplain forests. It is not very popular as an edible mushroom due to its slightly bitter taste, but it has been used as a medicinal mushroom in Chinese medicine for 4000 years. There it is known as Ling Zhi, “mushroom of immortality.” In terms of its tonic effect, it is just as highly valued in TCM as ginseng (Panax ginseng). The mushroom has also proven effective in treating nervous weakness, sleep disorders, and cardiovascular problems due to its regulating effect. It is also used to support the treatment of cancer and hepatitis. Last but not least, reishi counteracts aging processes thanks to its overall composition of ingredients, which you can benefit from in concentrated form with NOBUSAN.

Shiitake Mushroom

Shiitake Mushroom

The shiitake mushroom (Lentinula edodes) occupies a prominent place among medicinal mushrooms, and not only because of its eight essential amino acids. Traditionally found at the foot of the Pasania tree (Japanese: shii), it is now also cultivated in China and Japan on other deciduous trees such as oak, beech, maple, and chestnut. As a remedy, this popular edible mushroom is used to treat inflammation, stomach problems, tumors, headaches, and other conditions. It has proven particularly effective in maintaining vascular health. Lentinan, one of several polysaccharides contained in shiitake, is responsible for its tumor growth-inhibiting effect. It also stimulates insulin production, which has a beneficial effect on fat metabolism. The essential amino acid eritadenine has a positive influence on the balance between LDL cholesterol and HDL cholesterol, which also helps to keep the blood vessels healthy. The circulation-promoting and connective tissue-strengthening properties of shiitake also contribute to this. Improved blood circulation is also helpful for tinnitus and migraines. Shiitake mushrooms are a source of vitamins B1, B2, and B3, as well as calcium, potassium, phosphorus, iron, and zinc. Muscles and bones also benefit from the numerous ingredients in shiitake mushrooms, whose concentrated power is also available to you in NOBUSAN.

B vitamins

B vitamins

Vitamin E

Vitamin E

As an important antioxidant, vitamin E (tocopherol) protects cells from premature aging and damage caused by environmental influences. Aggressive oxygen molecules, known as “free radicals,” are everywhere and constantly attack proteins, lipids, and cell membranes. This is not a problem as long as antioxidant vitamins from our food maintain protection – but as soon as, for example, the vitamin E level in the blood falls below a critical concentration, cell aging begins. The need for vitamin E is increased when trying to conceive, during pregnancy and breastfeeding, for smokers, those with joint and rheumatic complaints, premenstrual syndrome, and frequent inflammation. Vitamin E is a fat-soluble vitamin, which is not a problem as most foods that are rich in it are also high in fat. For all others, a dash of oil or butter should always be added during preparation. Since an overdose of vitamin E is almost impossible, but a deficiency is harmful in the long term, an additional dose in the form of a dietary supplement is always advisable – for example, with the high-quality preparations from NOBUSAN.

Vitamin E is found in hazelnuts, wheat germ, flaxseed, milk, avocado, vegetable oils, cabbage, peppers, and black salsify.

Symptoms of a genuine (rare) vitamin E deficiency include unexplained fertility problems, poor wound healing, sagging skin, age spots, and muscle weakness.

Pine Bark Extract

Pine Bark Extract

Pine bark is one of the most remarkable sources of the valuable antioxidant OPC, which NOBUSAN Nutrition uses in several products. OPC performs valuable functions in terms of health, protecting cells and strengthening the immune system in general. Pine bark extract can therefore be described as an “anti-aging power substance” and, on top of that, as an ideal supplement to vitamin C because it increases its effect up to tenfold!

Goji

Goji

Contains powerful antioxidants that are known to optimally support cell renewal. The concentrated composition of all the vital substances it contains reduces damage to cells caused by free radicals and thus supports optimal cell protection. Slows down the aging process. Strengthens the heart and immune system. Vital substances contained: 18 amino acids, vitamins A, B1, B2, C, and E, as well as 21 minerals and trace elements.

Maitake mushroom

Maitake mushroom

The maitake medicinal mushroom from Japan may not be pretty, but it is all the more effective for weight loss: the gray-brown mushroom, which grows in clusters on beech, oak, and chestnut trees like oyster mushrooms, is considered a natural fat inhibitor and is even said to prevent fatty liver disease. These alone are important reasons for NOBUSAN to include maitake (Grifola frondosa or “rattle mushroom”) in its medicinal mushroom product EXELORYL. According to Japanese studies, consuming maitake over several months lowers blood sugar levels and blood pressure. But the mushroom not only makes cells more sensitive to insulin, it also strengthens them and makes them more resistant to environmental toxins. Research also suggests that it provides powerful liver protection. Finally, maitake is said to improve calcium absorption and thus help prevent bone loss. Japanese mushroom researchers are currently conducting intensive studies to determine whether the mushroom's activating effect on T cells, among other things, helps fight cancer.

Lycopin

Lycopin

Lycopene is a powerful antioxidant that helps the body fight off free radicals. According to studies, it can also have a positive effect on eye health, as lycopene is converted into vitamin A in the body. It also strengthens the walls of blood vessels. Bright red in color, lycopene belongs to the carotenoid class of compounds and is found in large quantities in tomatoes, rose hips, and watermelons, with its availability increasing significantly when heated. Lycopene became known for its ability to keep cell-damaging radicals at bay—which, according to some studies, ultimately results in a reduced risk of cardiovascular disease, osteoporosis, diabetes, or cancer. The positive effect of lycopene on the immune system is well established, which is why NOBUSAN uses this powerful substance in numerous products.

Biotin

Biotin

Biotin is probably the best-known “beauty vitamin” and is also known as vitamin H or B7. If it is lacking in the diet, the deficiency usually manifests itself initially in hair loss, brittle nails, and skin diseases (dermatitis) because important functions in the conversion of carbohydrates and fatty acids are slowed down. It also supplies blood cells and the nervous system. Research has shown that frequent consumption of raw eggs can cause biotin deficiency, even though egg yolks contain large amounts of the substance. This paradoxical fact is due to another ingredient in raw eggs (avidin), which blocks biotin absorption. When supplemented with products such as NOBUSAN, the results are quickly apparent in the form of improved hair growth, stronger nails, and smoother skin. Biotin is found in soy, liver, legumes, spinach, mushrooms, whole grains, yeast, and nuts.

Symptoms of biotin deficiency include brittle fingernails, hair loss, skin problems, nervousness, and fatigue, and even depression.

Vitamin B2 (Riboflavin)

Vitamin B2 (Riboflavin)

Anyone who frequently suffers from cracked corners of the mouth, migraine attacks, brittle fingernails, flaky skin around the eyes and nose, or inflamed tongue mucosa should consider the possibility that they may be consuming too little vitamin B2 (riboflavin). It is a component of many enzymes that regulate energy production and protein metabolism and is important for tissue growth. Although it is found in small amounts in many foods, a diet with very few animal products can cause a vitamin B2 deficiency. During pregnancy and breastfeeding, during convalescence after surgery (with tissue regeneration), and in cases of chronic alcohol abuse, the need for vitamin B2 increases significantly and should ideally be supplemented with good supplements such as those from >NOBUSAN. People undergoing treatment for depression should pay particular attention to this vitamin: their medication increases their vitamin B2 requirements, while at the same time a balanced vitamin B2 level in the blood can reduce the necessary dosage of medication!

Vitamin B2 is found in all dairy products, eggs, yeast, wheat germ, sea fish, meat, and (whole grain) cereals.

Symptoms of vitamin B2 deficiency include flaky skin around the eyes and mouth, cracked corners of the mouth (rhagades), changes in the mucous membranes of the nose and tongue, dull and brittle fingernails, and in severe cases, anemia, growth disorders, and degeneration of nerve tissue.
