Active and Vital Ingredients
Spermidine

Spermidine

Spermidine is an organic amino acid-like compound that is closely linked to cell growth and is found in certain foods such as wheat germ and soybeans. The body can also produce it to a certain extent, but this production decreases significantly with age. Whenever something in the body needs to be built up or regenerated (e.g., skin, hair, muscles, or blood), spermidine is released in greater quantities to control these regenerative processes. Spermidine also regulates the removal of cellular waste products, a process known as autophagy.

Sulforaphane

Sulforaphane

It is a powerful indirect antioxidant found mainly in cruciferous vegetables such as broccoli. Its outstanding cell-protecting effect is based on the activation of certain enzymes that regulate antioxidant defense mechanisms in the body. Studies suggest that, in addition to general antioxidant effects in cell culture, it also has tumor-inhibiting properties.

Broccoli extract

Broccoli extract

Sulforaphane, found in broccoli extract, is a phytochemical. Its outstanding cell-protecting potential is based on the activation of certain enzymes that regulate antioxidant mechanisms in the body. Studies also suggest that it has tumor-inhibiting properties.

Lycopin

Lycopin

Lycopene is a powerful antioxidant that helps the body fight off free radicals. According to studies, it can also have a positive effect on eye health, as lycopene is converted into vitamin A in the body. It also strengthens the walls of blood vessels. Bright red in color, lycopene belongs to the carotenoid class of compounds and is found in large quantities in tomatoes, rose hips, and watermelons, with its availability increasing significantly when heated. Lycopene became known for its ability to keep cell-damaging radicals at bay—which, according to some studies, ultimately results in a reduced risk of cardiovascular disease, osteoporosis, diabetes, or cancer. The positive effect of lycopene on the immune system is well established, which is why NOBUSAN uses this powerful substance in numerous products.

Grüntee Extrakt

Grüntee Extrakt

Green tea has been considered an elixir of life and fountain of youth in Asia for centuries. Studies in recent years have confirmed its great life-prolonging, health-promoting, and preventive potential: green tea strengthens the coronary arteries and keeps the circulation young, prevents tooth decay through fluoride, and helps with obesity, diabetes, and inflammatory processes. Its effects against Parkinson's and Alzheimer's diseases and the progression of the neurological disorder Huntington's chorea are currently being discussed. There is also growing evidence that certain types of cancer are less common in regions where green tea is widely consumed. In any case, its polyphenol content makes green tea an excellent radical scavenger and inflammation healer. Other ingredients include the stimulant theine or caffeine, catechins, valuable amino acids, vitamins A, B, and B2, as well as calcium, potassium, phosphoric acid, magnesium, copper, zinc, nickel, and carotene. Its healthy tannins have a mild constipating effect and soothe the gastrointestinal tract. All in all, these are valuable power ingredients that NOBUSAN uses in numerous products, especially in the anti-aging sector.

Vitamin B1

Vitamin B1

Vitamin B1 (thiamine) is responsible for countless processes in the body related to carbohydrate, fat, and protein metabolism, regeneration of the nervous system, and growth. It is also known as the “anti-beriberi factor” because insufficient intake can cause beriberi, a deficiency disease typical in developing countries. This explains which foods contain high levels of this vitamin—namely, the outer layers of grains and rice. Since the diet in the so-called “Third World” consists mainly of polished rice, people there are almost completely deficient in vitamin B1 and suffer from severe nerve, heart, and muscle damage. In Western countries, hardly anyone will develop beriberi, but mild deficiency symptoms are well known – especially in cases of alcohol abuse, liver disorders, hyperthyroidism, diabetes, and treatment with cytostatics (cancer drugs). The requirement is also increased during pregnancy and breastfeeding, in endurance athletes, and in cases of extreme weight loss due to dieting or illness. Since vitamin B1 is so important and overdose is virtually impossible, it is a fixed component of many NOBUSAN preparations.

Vitamin B1 is found in whole grains and rice, pork, fish, nuts, yeast, and legumes. Preparing food with garlic significantly increases the absorption of vitamin B1 in the intestine!

Symptoms of vitamin B1 deficiency include concentration problems, heart problems and cramps even with minimal exertion, irritability to the point of depression, and unexplained weight loss.

Vitamin B2 (Riboflavin)

Vitamin B2 (Riboflavin)

Anyone who frequently suffers from cracked corners of the mouth, migraine attacks, brittle fingernails, flaky skin around the eyes and nose, or inflamed tongue mucosa should consider the possibility that they may be consuming too little vitamin B2 (riboflavin). It is a component of many enzymes that regulate energy production and protein metabolism and is important for tissue growth. Although it is found in small amounts in many foods, a diet with very few animal products can cause a vitamin B2 deficiency. During pregnancy and breastfeeding, during convalescence after surgery (with tissue regeneration), and in cases of chronic alcohol abuse, the need for vitamin B2 increases significantly and should ideally be supplemented with good supplements such as those from >NOBUSAN. People undergoing treatment for depression should pay particular attention to this vitamin: their medication increases their vitamin B2 requirements, while at the same time a balanced vitamin B2 level in the blood can reduce the necessary dosage of medication!

Vitamin B2 is found in all dairy products, eggs, yeast, wheat germ, sea fish, meat, and (whole grain) cereals.

Symptoms of vitamin B2 deficiency include flaky skin around the eyes and mouth, cracked corners of the mouth (rhagades), changes in the mucous membranes of the nose and tongue, dull and brittle fingernails, and in severe cases, anemia, growth disorders, and degeneration of nerve tissue.

Vitamin B6 (Pyridoxin)

Vitamin B6 (Pyridoxin)

Vitamin B6 (pyridoxine) is extremely important for blood formation, the nervous system, immune defense, and the utilization of amino acids. It also provides valuable assistance in the prevention of arteriosclerosis and nourishes the skin. In high doses, it is also used to treat carpal tunnel syndrome (numbness in the fingers and toes) and premenstrual syndrome (PMS) in women. The need for vitamin B6 increases during pregnancy and breastfeeding, in diabetics, and when taking the “pill” or medications for tuberculosis or epilepsy. People who eat an extremely protein-rich diet (e.g., competitive athletes or those on a low-carb diet) also need to be careful, as in this case the vitamin B6 intake must also be adjusted. If these “risk factors” are not present, a diet rich in vitamin B is actually sufficient to meet your needs. Because an increased intake of the vitamin is almost always beneficial and an overdose through diet or over-the-counter supplements is hardly possible, it is included in good multi-nutrient formulas such as those from NOBUSAN alongside other B vitamins.

Vitamin B6 is found in whole grains, potatoes, soy, carrots, bananas, cauliflower, wheat germ, nuts, yeast, meat, and fish.

Symptoms of vitamin B6 deficiency include skin changes around the eyes, nose, and mouth (chapped corners of the mouth!), certain forms of anemia, nervous disorders, and insomnia.

Vitamin B12

Vitamin B12

Vitamin B12 is probably the most underrated vitamin of our time. It has a major impact on our nervous system, metabolism, detoxification, and blood formation. In addition to vegetarians and vegans, diabetics, pregnant women, breastfeeding women, women taking birth control pills, and chemotherapy patients also have a significantly increased need for vitamin B12. To ensure that our customers receive a comprehensive supply, many NOBUSAN products contain this essential vitamin in various dosages.

Vitamin B12 is found in dairy products, eggs, meat, fish, liver, and brewer's yeast.

Symptoms of vitamin B12 deficiency include nerve disorders such as coldness or tingling in the fingers and feet, sores on the oral mucosa, balance disorders, anemia, smell and taste disorders, concentration disorders, exhaustion, and low mental resilience.

Vitamin K1

Vitamin K1

Essential for blood clotting, cell metabolism, and healthy blood vessels. It is found almost exclusively in green vegetables and certain vegetable oils. An imbalance in the intestinal flora, e.g., due to antibiotic use, certain medications, fat absorption disorders, liver weakness, or chronic diseases of the digestive tract, can contribute to vitamin K deficiency.

Tomato Extract

Tomato Extract

Red, round, and extremely healthy—tomatoes are not only delicious, but also have many positive effects on vitality. This aromatic vegetable contains a lot of vitamins and minerals, especially immune-boosting vitamin C and potassium. Potassium, for example, influences muscle metabolism, nerve function, and water balance. Carotenoids – the yellow-red plant pigments that give tomatoes their color – have antioxidant properties and have been proven to protect cells. Incidentally, the body can utilize these plant pigments better from processed tomatoes than from raw fruits. Therefore, they should be cut or pureed and, above all, heated before consumption. An extract can be obtained from the juice of tomatoes, or paradise apples as they are also known in Austria, which improves blood flow and has a positive effect within 2 to 3 hours of consumption. It keeps the surface of the blood platelets soft and supple, preventing them from clumping together. Tomato extract can help lower blood pressure and prevent heart attacks or strokes. Men should also be tempted to consume plenty of these red love apples, as the red tomato pigment lycopene has been proven to reduce the risk of prostate cancer! Prostate cancer is rare in Mediterranean countries, which can be attributed to the abundant consumption of tomatoes. Tomato extract is contained in some NOBUSAN products.

Biotin

Biotin

Biotin is probably the best-known “beauty vitamin” and is also known as vitamin H or B7. If it is lacking in the diet, the deficiency usually manifests itself initially in hair loss, brittle nails, and skin diseases (dermatitis) because important functions in the conversion of carbohydrates and fatty acids are slowed down. It also supplies blood cells and the nervous system. Research has shown that frequent consumption of raw eggs can cause biotin deficiency, even though egg yolks contain large amounts of the substance. This paradoxical fact is due to another ingredient in raw eggs (avidin), which blocks biotin absorption. When supplemented with products such as NOBUSAN, the results are quickly apparent in the form of improved hair growth, stronger nails, and smoother skin. Biotin is found in soy, liver, legumes, spinach, mushrooms, whole grains, yeast, and nuts.

Symptoms of biotin deficiency include brittle fingernails, hair loss, skin problems, nervousness, and fatigue, and even depression.

Folic acid (vitamin B9)

Folic acid (vitamin B9)

Most people know folic acid or vitamin B9 as the typical “fertility and pregnancy vitamin” – but it is important for much more than just cell division processes. To be precise, it is not even a vitamin, but a coenzyme and, as such, is involved in a variety of biochemical reactions such as blood formation; It also protects against arteriosclerosis. Folic acid deficiency is one of the most widespread deficiency symptoms, which is probably due, among other things, to the fact that it loses much of its effectiveness through exposure to light, heat, and long storage of our food. Supplementation with vital substance preparations such as those from NOBUSAN is therefore advisable for almost everyone, but especially during pregnancy and breastfeeding, when taking certain medications (laxatives, antiepileptics, cytostatics, antimalarials), with high alcohol consumption, and gastrointestinal diseases.

Folic acid is found in whole grain products, egg yolks, vegetables (cabbage, spinach, fennel, pumpkin, mushrooms, avocado), legumes, wheat germ, yeast (flakes), and nuts.

Symptoms of folic acid deficiency include changes in the mucous membranes in the mouth (e.g., burning sensation on the tongue), diarrhea, seemingly unexplained loss of appetite, and nausea, and can even lead to pathological changes in the blood count. If a woman does not consume enough folic acid during pregnancy, this can lead to malformations in the unborn child (neural tube defect).

Vitamin A

Vitamin A

Even the ancient Egyptians knew that night blindness, i.e. reduced vision in the dark, was improved by frequent consumption of liver (as we know today: extremely rich in vitamin A!). Even the writer Karl May, who went blind as a child due to poor nutrition, regained his sight - presumably only because a German doctor recommended that he take cod liver oil. Vitamin A (retinol) and its precursor carotene (from which the body itself produces vitamin A) is therefore the most important "eye vitamin" because it controls the ability of the light-sensitive cells in the eye to react. However, it is also an essential antioxidant with a cell-protecting function; together with vitamins C and E, it protects the body's cells from free radicals and thus prevents premature cell ageing. You can tell whether you are taking in too little vitamin A by looking at your skin in particular: If it is extremely pale and tends to flake and sag, this may be due to a vitamin A deficiency. Certain diseases such as chickenpox or measles, a low-protein diet and alcohol abuse "rob" the body of vitamin A. The versatile spectrum of action of vitamin A was also taken into account when designing the modern food supplement range from NOBUSAN-Nutrition.

Vitamin A is found in almost every bright yellow-orange or dark green colored fruit or vegetable - e.g. carrots (hence the name "carotene" for the vitamin A precursor), peppers, spinach, cabbage, apricots and sea buckthorn, but also in liver, butter, cheese and eggs.
IMPORTANT: The body can only utilize the fat-soluble vitamin A if a certain amount of fat is consumed at the same time! A dab of butter, cream or oil on vegetables should therefore be obligatory.

The main symptoms of a vitamin A deficiency are reduced twilight vision (night blindness), scaly, calloused skin and dry mucous membranes.
